Overview
Groom’s Cottage sits within Combe Head House, an historic estate set on the edge of the beautiful Blackdown Hills in Somerset. This beautifully restored home offers a rare blend of comfort, character, and countryside charm, inviting guests to slow down and savour the magic of rural life.
The estate is family-owned and run, with Lara and her family tending to their flourishing kitchen garden and a lively menagerie of animals. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated to make your stay unforgettable. Picture yourself dining under the trees with a woodland feast prepared by MasterChef: The Professionals’ Chiara Tomasoni, indulging in an in-room massage from a therapist formerly of The Pig, taking a wild swim in the spring-fed pond, or joining a creative workshop with the talented Painted Palms. Please enquire at the time of your booking.
For large groups looking to book Groom’s Cottage together with its sister property, Gilda’s House, you can contact our sales team here.
Kitchen, Living & Dining Areas
The kitchen, dining room and living room pay homage to the property’s history, decked out with antique furnishings and decorated with vintage pieces. Splashes of colour and whimsical patterns create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, while modern appliances ensure comfort and convenience.
